Scenario

You are junior HR in  a large global organisation of your choice. You have to demonstreate an ability to review contribution of HR functions in the success of the organisation.  

Create a report that would cover following heading.

1. Explain importance of organizational design.

you are needed to evaluate the importance of organizational design theory in the context of organizational structure through fulfilling organizational strategy, using organisational examples. Apply appropriate theories and concepts to evaluate the importance of organizational design, using particular organizational examples.  

2. Analyze the need to develop motivated, knowledgeable and experienced individuals and teams.

you should analyze the various approaches used for attracting, maintaining, developing and rewarding human resources to create a skilled workforce.  Use  examples to critically analyse approaches and techniques to motivation, human capital and knowledge management.   Based on the discussion in these two sections (1 and 2), make appropriate recommendations supported by justification based on a synthesis of knowledge and information to show how to enhance the delivery of sustainable performance.

3. Implement contemporary knowledge and research to support emerging HR developments.

You are needed to conduct research and use contemporary knowledge to support evidence for emerging HR developments.  Also evaluate how emerging HR developments will impact the role of HR function in the future. Make valid judgements and conclusions, based on your research and evaluation.

 Continue from project 1, you have been asked to prepare poster presentation on how HR will handle organisation design in order to adapt chanes taking place in the organisation.

Poster will cover:

• Discuss of how organisational design has to respond and adapt to change management and the relationship that exists between the two by using particular organisational situation.  
• Evaluate the types of changes that impact organizational design, including transformational and psychological change.  
• Critically evaluate the complex relationship between organizational design and change management.
